The Legacy of Lead in Buffalo

2018 - 2019 Place Profiles
In 2018, the Convergence Partnership leveraged its funding to catalyze and amplify efforts toward grassroots organizing, policy advocacy, and narrative change in strategic places across the country. The 2018-2019 place-based investments provided $1.45 million in funding to four national organizations along with seven place-based grantees in five geographically diverse regions, representing urban and rural communities from the West Coast, East Coast, South, and Midwest. The aim was to draw learning and insight from these investments by building on the Partnership’s history while charting a new course responsive to the current social and political climate. These profiles include stories that capture the experiences and impacts of this work from the perspectives of the community members, grassroots and community organizations, and funder partners involved.
